Custom Error Message and Kreativ Blogger Award

I'm on Google+.  Just so's you know. And I'm following Blogger. (Or is it "circling" Blogger? I'm not sure which is the proper lingo.)

Anyway, Blogger recently posted about how to change your "error message" - you know, that message you get when you click on a broken link. "404 page not found" and all that, wot wot?

Apparently in Blogger you can customize it. Go to "Settings," select "search preferences" and click "edit" under "custom page not found."

It was too good an opportunity to pass up, so I went and changed mine right away. You can see it by clicking this incorrect link:

Also, I've been awarded the Kreativ Blogger Award.

Becky Doughty from Braveheart gave me this lovely award. Thanks so much, Becky!

You know, at most award ceremonies it's the custom to give an acceptance speech, but on the blogosphere there are rules that you must follow. (Unless, of course, you're my sister Ava, in which case you write an acceptance speech and follow the rules)

And hey, I love rules, so let's see what we've got here:

1. Thank the person who has given you the award.
2. Copy the logo and place it on your blog.
3. Link to the person who has nominated you for the award.
4. Name 7 things about yourself that people might find interesting.
5. Nominate 7 other Kreativ Bloggers.
6. Post links to the 7 blogs you nominate.
7. Leave a comment on the blogs to let them know you have been nominated.

Let me see, I've completed 1-3 (thanks, again Becky!) so onto number 4. Seven things you might find interesting about me. Let's see...

Uno. I once tried to write a play based on the story of Alexander and the Gordian knot. The catch? I wrote it in Shakespearean English. It's still unfinished, but maybe someday I'll pull it out and finish it.

Dos. I once convinced my sisters that a "bygone" was the tip of your nose. Then I made them play "Simon says" and told them "put your finger on your bygone." They caught on when I started laughing, however. I don't think they've entirely trusted me since. ;-)

Tres. I wrote and directed my church's Christmas play last year. It was a lot of fun and a lot of work.

Cuatro. I learned a little Latin once. I still remember some of it. Ora et labora. E pluribus unum. Anno Domini.

Sinco. I wrote my first journal entry when I was six. I can't say I've been writing ever since, because I haven't, but it's what made me first fall in love with it.

Ses. My memory seems to have officially started around the age of six as well.

Siente. I don't really speak Spanish. I looked up the numbers on the internet so I could number this list.

On the last two tags/awards I've been given I haven't done very well on handing it out, so I'm going to try to award all seven this time. I award....

Kerilynn - one of the most creative people I know. I know she's been busy lately, but hopefully she'll start blogging again soon.
Inna - she has a lovely, random, funny blog. And she recently visited the Netherlands.
Daisy - her blog is called "Fresh as a Daisy." And it really does feels like a breath of fresh air.
Nessima - her blog is LOTR themed, and her title (and name) are in elvish.
Allie - one of my former online classmates. On her lovely blog she talks about everything from faith to writing to the origins of English words.
Micah -also one of my former online classmates. Canadian. Loves Doctor Who. Writes like Hemingway.

I'll be completing the award by leaving comments on all y'alls blogs. Thanks again, Becky!

Do you have a custom error message (if so, leave me a link so I can read it)? Have you received the Kreativ Blogger Award?

  5. So, does the fact that you have a custom error message make you want to spread bad links to your blog all around FB to give people the chance to see it?

    1. haha, no, I'm actually hoping that people won't have to see it. When I link to something I want it to actually go somewhere. ;)

  7. I'm coming back when I'm awake to look more into that error thing. I didn't get it, but it is one thirty here (And I don't get many things, just world domination and sporks.) Yeah...I need sleep...
