June is Coming, I Can Almost See It...

This is the time of year that makes me want to visit the ocean. Of course, the Pacific Northwest ocean isn't quite as blue (or warm) as the ocean in the picture above, but it's still the ocean. And I miss it. Our annual vacation is coming up, though. Pacific ocean, here I come!

Today over at Emily Moir's blog Rantings of a Writer I wrote a guest post for her Blogger Spotlight series. Go check out my post (and Emily's blog!)

Having seen The Avengers three times now, I think it's time I wrote a review. So coming up will be my five part review/analysis of the movie. Yes, five part (I kind of have a lot to say).

Also, I recently started following Miss Jack Lewis Baillot's clever blog, However Improbable. She's a steampunk author (which is pretty cool) and we seemed to have watched and read a lot of the same movies and books. She only has 13 followers, so why not hop on over and check out her blog?

Doing anything exciting this June? Visited the ocean lately? How many times did you see The Avengers? Have you visited Miss Jack Lewis Baillot's blog?

  1. Your blog is BEAUTIFUL! I need to update mine from the boring blogger template :/

Three times!?! I loved The Avengers and want to see it again. I look forward to reading your blog post.

For June we will probably head to the beach also. But, I'm in So. Cal. so, almost any direction I drive, I'm usually heading towards a beach :)

    1. Thanks, Jenn! :)

It's nice living so close to the beach, isn't it? I feel very blessed. :)

  2. I miss the Pacific Ocean. Grew up half hour away form Santa Cruz. Enjoy your trip, and if you're near Santa Cruz, don't forget to ride the Giant Dipper:)

  5. Three times to see The Avengers? Aw, how cool! I've been two, once at the I Max which is a cool way to see it. All up close and big screen and such.

I love the ocean. If I left the mountains it would be to live by the ocean.

Aw! Thanks for the mention, and the comments on my blog lately 8-D I enjoy them so much!

Yes, I agree, it is a pity we cannot learn languages as easy as that. I would go to other counties and just have people talk to me.

Oh yes! That episode of Get Smart was funny, though any with Sigfried and Stakker are funny 8-D I do enjoy 99's mini magnet and maxi magnet thing. And Max saying, "Well, that's easy for you to say." And the part where Stakker gives Max change for the spy glass, that part just cracks me up every time.

Anyhow, hope you had a nice holiday weekend! 8-D

    1. Thanks, I did have a nice weekend. :)

Imax would have been neat... someday I'd like to see a movie in imax.

Oh, and you're welcome! I'm always glad to promote someone whose blog I've enjoyed. :)

Starker... it's hilarious how Siegfried can't really say his name. Or Max's. It's always "Maxwell Shmowt!"

  6. I watch the sea every day, not the ocean but an enclosed sea between lands very old: my sea is the Mediterranean sea and my island is Sicily.
The lack of a partner as the sea can only feel when you do not have more, the habit makes you consider certain things as if they were discounted and often you do not realize how much they are precious.
We two we had crossed on the web a little over a month ago: I had another nickname but the desire to communicate and deal remained the same.
The only exciting thing that I have programmed this June is just trying to get into a part of the blogosphere that I was far stranger, started by you and your blog because it seems quite similar in spirit to mine. Immediately after, following your advice, I will visit the blog of
    Miss Jack Lewis Baillot.
Thanks for your attention and hospitality. Tom

  8. Hey Lauren!
    Lovely post :)
I'm really looking forward to June as well! Summer is my favorite time of year even though I miss you and all the rest of my amazing friends on VPSA and even though summer in South Carolina is extremely hot :)
We're headed to Florida soon.. We go to a place called Cape San Blas. It has powdery white sand and clear blue water :) and you pretty much get the beach to yourself cuz not many people go there.

I haven't seen the Avengers yet! I really want to, so hopefully soon. I keep hearing good things about it from everyone.

Have a wonderful summer! (Hopefully i'll be joining yalls fiction writing group on Facebook soon....ive almost convinced my dad to let me get a facebook account :D)

    1. Yes, missing VPSA friends is sad...

White powdery sand - what's that? All we know here in Oregon is wet, caky sand or dry yellow sand. ;)

I hope you can join the group! That would be awesome. :)
